Team/division description
Accessory Purchasing Team
Part of the overall European Purchasing team of nearly 200 people, the Accessory group is focused on serving our aftersales group with Purchasing activities related to Accessories and service parts fitted to all Toyota vehicles sold in Europe (both local made and imported).
The Accessory and Aftersales environment means our small team faces dynamic requests and the sourcing and development of accessory products. These are both wide in scope from standard parts for vehicle serving to bespoke developments of accessory items to enhance our vehicle sales and meet the customer growing expectation of being able to customise their vehicle purchase.
As an intern in our group, we will be looking for you to integrate quickly, and help us continue the development of systems and procedures to strengthen our overall Purchasing activity and delivery.

Your project
As intern you will be expected to :
  • Untake a number of projects to support the group (Examples : systems or procedure development, data organization, support communication with suppliers) and support buyers, engineers and admin with actual key Purchasing activities: Sourcing, pricing, negotiation
  • Communicate with related internal and external supplier contacts via various means (TEAMS,Mail,Microsoft applications like Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc)

As as result you will gain :

  • Appreciation for Toyota Purchasing approach and relationship with suppliers
  • Use of your skills to contribute to real business activity and gain appreciartion for Toyota business approach

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
Your Profile:
  • You speak fluent English (TME business language)
  • You are stuying for a university degree in business, purchasing or engineering
  • business understanding and affinity with automotive products
  • results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
  • good communication, presentation and teamwork skills
  • computer literate (MS applications)

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
